1、Intelligent Monitoring System: Building a Fully Visual Inspection Framework


  • Core capability: end-to-end visual inspections

The system enables real-time monitoring across key store scenarios, including blocked fire exits, open-flame risks, merchandising compliance, and staff service standards. Managers can identify issues through video-based inspections at any time, reducing reliance on irregular, manual store checks.

  • Operating model: integrated online and in-store inspections

Multiple inspection methods are supported, including online video store walks, photo-based checks, in-store self-inspections, on-site visits, and ad-hoc issue reporting. Role-based inspection templates help ensure operational standards are applied consistently across all stores.

Smart cameras replace traditional infrared sensors, providing visual monitoring of designated risk areas. When an alert is triggered, managers can quickly confirm the cause and on-site conditions, while loss-prevention staff are notified immediately, significantly reducing response times.


2、Self-Checkout Loss Prevention System:  End-to-End Intelligent Loss Control


To tackle shrinkage risks in self-checkout, Aijia moved beyond traditional loss prevention and adopted a more intelligent, system-led approach.

  • Before the incident: proactive and accurate detection

Using AI-powered technologies, the system identifies abnormal behaviours during self-checkout, such as missed scans or incorrect scans, providing a reliable basis for early risk detection and proactive intervention.

  • During the transaction: customer-friendly intervention

Once a risk behaviour is detected, the system immediately displays a friendly on-screen prompt at the self-checkout terminal, guiding customers to complete a rescan on their own. This trust-based intervention helps prevent potential losses while preserving a smooth and positive shopping experience.

  • After the fact: traceable and analyzable records

All alerts and handling outcomes are fully recorded, forming a traceable and analyzable data trail. This provides a solid foundation for shrinkage analysis and continuous process optimisation.

In October 2025, Aijia’s Nanhu store processed 20,373 self-checkout transactions. The system identified 3,267 abnormal behaviours in real time and guided customers to rescan in 2,161 cases, directly recovering RMB 23,520 in losses.


3、Smart Checkout System:  A Data-Driven Checkout Operations Platform


Checkout counters become digital intelligence nodes that support in-store efficiency management and decision-making.

  • Intelligent Queue Management: The system continuously monitors checkout queues. When the number of waiting customers exceeds a preset threshold for a sustained period, the system automatically triggers an alert. This not only notifies store staff but also prompts them to open additional lanes or redirect customer flow, ensuring service remains smooth and efficient.

  • Checkout Performance Insights: The platform provides real-time visibility into checkout efficiency trends across every store. Managers can track performance metrics continuously, identify bottlenecks, and make data-informed operational decisions, ensuring consistent service quality and resource allocation.

  • AI-Powered Decision Support: Leveraging historical data and predictive algorithms, the system automatically generates staffing, scheduling, and operational recommendations.
